Our Story
THE BEGINNING
In 2005, the Lord placed a desire in the heart of Pastor Jason Exley to begin a new church that would reach the Midlothian area. The dream of a Bible-based, evangelistic, Spirit-empowered church in Midlothian, Texas began taking shape. Pastor Jason dreamed of what a church would look like that would impact the families of Midlothian and Ellis County. He began building a leadership team, networking and building relationships with people in the community. Life Church began holding services at Longbranch Elementary School on Easter morning, April 16, 2006.
GROWING
Life Church became known as a welcoming community of people who were captured by a vision to transform its city. People were excited about the opportunity to be in on the ground floor of a new and growing church. Life Church rapidly began to be known as a church that placed an extraordinary emphasis on ministry to children and young people, as well as the weekend worship experience for adults.
During it's three years meeting at Longbranch Elementary School, Life Church grew to a weekly attendance around 150 people. By purchasing several inflatables and providing some of the highest quality family events, Life Church began meeting a need in its community as people were looking for opportunities to meet others and activities for their children.
EXPANDING
Early in 2009, three years after Life Church launched, we had the opportunity to acquire a property and church building sitting on Highway 67. During the course of a ten months, Life Church completely remodeled the property, both inside and outside. Once the Remodel was complete Life Church moved in to its new permanent facility in December of 2009. Since than, Life Church has grown to over 300 people on each of its weekend worship service experiences.
YOUR ROLE IN THE STORY
Life Church is one of the fastest growing churches in the area. Many new and dynamic ministries have began and continue to be created to help minister to individuals and their families. But in the midst of all this excitement, we recognize that church health is more important than numerical growth and programs. At Life Church, we recognize that God has a specific purpose for each person's life. That's why we are hard at work at making each family feel connected to God's purpose and to each other.
